On May 29, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on European Integration Arman yeghoyan hosted the participants of the Young Professionals’ Parliamentary Program of the National Democratic Institute (NDI).
The meeting was held in Q&A session.
The Committee Chair spoke about the Armenia-European Union Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (CEPA), detailed the process of our country’s joining the document. He noted that the work continues, and in that process Armenia expects certain professional support.
Arman Yeghoyan also talked about the Armenia-European Union relations, mentioning that they are multi-layer, multi-lateral and multi-vector. A reference was also made to the issues regarding the Armenia-EAEU interaction.
Touching upon the issue on the EU Observation Mission in Armenia, Arman Yeghoyan stated that the Mission plays a great role in the security system of the state and promotes the establishment of stability and peace in the region.
The MP noted on the problems concerning the visa liberalisation that in the negotiations of the visa liberalisation the agreement of the EU all member 27 countries is necessary. At this moment there are countries which have reservations, and now work is done with them.
Ideas were also exchanged on the significance of public hearings.
Arman Yeghoyan wished successes to the Young Professionals in their further endeavors.
