On October 31 the RA NA President Galust Sahakyan attended the opening of the new office of the RA Notary Chamber. Congratulating the notaries and the Staff of the RA Notary Chamber on the occasion of the house warming, the NA President has noted that this is also a step to strengthen the notary system, to give new breath to it, advance to more active, consolidated professional activity. According to Mr Sahakyan, the modernization of the system does not only mean legislative improvement, it also supposes investment of new technologies and improvement of working conditions. In the RA NA President’s opinion, first of all and the most important and prior thing is the change in the way of thinking and psychology in the system. “The investment of the most modern technologies and the legislative field can mean nothing, if there is lack of trust in the notary-citizen relations,” the Head of the Parliament said.

Galust Sahakyan has noted that every day the notary is related to the people, their various problems and besides being a lawyer he/she should also be psychologically ready. Mr Sahakyan has added that the notary has not only legal, but also moral readiness before the citizen and also before himself/herself, because the notary’s action should be directed at protection of the citizen’s legal interest and the rise of the authority of the state.

In the NA President’s word, the changes and reforms in the system, which have been made and are made in the justice system, are also positively reflected in the sphere of notary, and the opening of the new office of the RA Notary Chamber should be observed within the framework of the continuity of those reforms.

Once again congratulating on the occasion of opening of the new office, Galust Sahakyan has expressed wish that the notaries’ activities always stem from the interests of the citizen, society, state and law.

The RA NA President Galust Sahakyan has awarded the notary of Kentron Territorial Notary’s Office Marine Manukyan with the NA diploma, the notary of Kentron Territorial Notary’s Office Aida Abrahamyan and the notary of Ajapnyak Territorial Notary’s Office Roza Arakelyan with the NA President’s souvenir.
