On January 20, the RA NA Deputy Speaker met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to the RA Timur Urazayev.

In the course of the meeting the sides touched upon the situation in the region. They highlighted the stability and peace in the region and the steps taken by the two countries in that direction.

In this context the RA NA Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan highly assessed the position adopted by the authorities of Kazakhstan, particularly, the manifest Peace: 21^st Century proposed by the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, and its aim is to eradicate the wars existing in the world. Hermine Naghdalyan has underlined that the contribution of Kazakhstan is great for all countries of the region in the re-establishment of peace for excluding the military rhetoric and arm race existing now in the South Caucasus.

Touching upon the conflict of Nagorno Karabakh the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the RA Timur Urazayev in his turn expressed regret for the losses occurred as a result of escalation on the border from the beginning of the year and once again reaffirmed the position of Kazakhstan to regulate the conflict through negotiations.

In the course of the meeting the sides also referred to the problems of the international cooperation, the upcoming PACE winter session and the peculiarities of PACE works.

At the meeting the RA NA deputy, the member of the Armenian Delegation to PACE Naira Karapetyan also took part.
