On June 7, RA NA President Alen Simonyan with his wife Mariam Margaryan took part in the reception dedicated to the 106th anniversary of the independence of Georgia being held at the Embassy of Georgia in Armenia, where he gave a congratulatory speech.

Dear members of the executive and legislative power of Armenia,
Dear ambassadors and guests,
Ladies and gentlemen,
I warmly congratulate my brother Georgia on Independence Day.
I must proudly note that our fraternal peoples have overcome difficult historical cycles through united struggle and cooperation, intertwining our peoples’ history and culture,” the Head of Parliament mentioned at the beginning of his speech.
Alen Simonyan underscored that in recent times an unprecedented close cooperation is developing between the legislative bodies of the two countries, as well as the various institutions of Armenia and Georgia.
“Of course, one can endlessly talk about Armenian-Georgian brotherhood, friendship, joint rich cultural heritage, common value system and our similarities.
Let me once again congratulate brotherly Georgia on Independence Day.
