Born on June 1 in 1957 in the village of Kanachut in the Ararat province.

1979 - 1981 - Served in the Soviet Army.

1978 - Graduated from the Faculty of Culture of the Kh. Abovian Pedagogical Institute with the qualification of worker of cultural enlightenment.

1995 - Graduated from the Academy of Police of the Republic of Armenia. Lawyer, Lieutenant-General of the Police.

1979 - Inspector of the Culture Department of the Abovyan City Council.

 1980 - 1982 - Methodologist at the Artashat House of Culture.

1982 - 2000 - System of Internal Affairs, Inspector for juvenile affairs, Operative Police Officer, Head of the Criminal Investigation Department, Deputy Chief of the Operational Department, Head. First Deputy Head of the Yerevan city administration. Head of the Ararat province IF department.

2000 - 2008 - Governor of Ararat.

2008 - 2011 - Chief of the Police of the Republic of Armenia.

2011 - 2017 - Adviser to the President of the Republic of Armenia.

April 2, 2017 - Elected Member of the National Assembly from the territorial electoral list of the electoral district #5 of the RPA.

Married, with two children.
