On March 20, within the framework of the Open Doors programme of the National Assembly one hundred pupils and teachers of different educational institutions of eleven marzes of the republic visited the parliament.
The guests took a tour in the NA, visited the History Museum of the Parliament, got familiarized with the happenings of the executive body. The RA NA Vice President Lena Nazaryan and the deputy Arman Boshyan met with them.
Welcoming the guests in the National Assembly Lena Nazaryan highlighted similar meetings with the youth, noting that they create a platform of direct contact, giving an opportunity to get familiarized with the legislative processes. In that context the NA Vice President has documented that the parliament is number one political structure, where the deputies elected by the people are ready to listen to all problems and within their possibilities give legislative regulations to them. Lena Nazaryan added: “The NA also implements control towards the government, approves or rejects the programmes presented by it, ask questions to the members of the government. Almost all national bodies of Armenia to this or that extent are formed here through voting in this hall.” The NA Vice President has underscored that the children and the young people are the future of the country, adding that each of them witnesses the problems of their community and the participant of the solution of those problems and demanding them.
The deputy Arman Boshyan in his turn presented the staff, the structure, the legislative processes and the activity of the NA Standing Committees. The parliamentarian has documented: “We try to send our address through this contact to the future, saying that we are here to cooperate and build our future. You can rely on us, you can and you shall establish new targets.”
