On July 15, the extraordinary sitting of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs moderated by Vladimir Vardanyan was convened.
The Head of Inspection Bodies’ Coordination Bureau of the RA Prime Minister’s Staff Artur Asoyan presented for debate the proposed amendments to the law on Making Addendum and Amendments to the RA Code on Administrative Offences authored by the Government.
It has been noted that the need to make amendments stems from the need to create appropriate prerequisites for providing with regular activities of Health and Labour Inspection Body, clarifying the scope of administrative offences investigated by the inspection body, as well as for carrying out proper control in the oversight areas of the inspection body in order to comply the requirements set by the legislation and to ensure the security.
In case of adopting the bill, the scope of cases on administrative offences investigated by Health and Labour Inspection Body will be clarified, and as a result of it, the inspection bodies will be given an opportunity to fully implement the functions that are assigned to them, ensuring security and compliance with the requirements of the legislation in the relevant fields.
The co-rapporteur, the Deputy Chair of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Anna Karapetyan has stated that she has no objections against the proposed amendments, so she urged her colleagues to vote for the draft law and presented editorial proposals.
The Committee endorsed the draft law.
