On November 10, RA NA President received the members of the ingoing tour operators of the union of Armenia. Arayik Vardanyan, the executive director and the heads of 15 organizations presented the Parliament President their problems and proposals directed to the legislative and economic development of the tourism sphere.

Dozens of issues related to the tourists’ visas coming to Armenia from EU member countries for preserving regional competitiveness, licensing of tour operators, amendments to the laws on tourism and customs tax, staff training and retraining in the tourism sphere, also issues related to infrastructures, roads, hotels and other problems were especially discussed.

The NA President Artur Baghdasaryan proposed to organize parliamentary hearings on the condition and development problems of the sphere, during which the mentioned and other issues will be debated with the participation of sphere representatives, employees of government and ministry. An agreement was reached also to have other meetings with the representatives of the organizations dealing with tourism.
