On January 20, the RA National Assembly debated in the first reading the legislative package on Amendments and Addendum to the RA Tax Code and on Making Addendum to the RA Law on State Duty authored by the Government. As the Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Artur Manukyan has informed, the main goal of the initiative is to increase the efficiency of the tax administration, ensuring decent control towards the accounting and levying of the state duty. “We only change the name of the thematic check being carried out by the tax body, which does not correspond to the kind of activity or tax type, by which that the activity is implemented. This will give an opportunity to the tax body to use the toolset. Any tax overload or additional obligation on anybody with these amendments does not increase,” Artur Manukyan noted.

The package was debated at the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs and was endorsed.
