On September 11-17, by the assistance of the Eastern Partnership Regional Fund for Public Administration Reforms of the German Federal Enterprise for International Cooperation (GIZ) the work of the Autumn Academy on the theme Strategic Planning and Executive Assessment of the Staffs of Parliaments of the Eastern Partnership were held in the city of Batumi of Georgia. The Secretary General of Parliament of Georgia Ketevan Kvinikadze, the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Ajaria Davit Gabaidze, the Regional Manager of the Project GIZ Modern and Strong Parliamentary Administrations in the Eastern Partnership Countries Tamar Zodelava.
The speakers highlighted the work of the Academy. It was noted that the exchange of experience in such format gives an opportunity to strengthen among the staffs of the participant parliaments the strategic planning capacities, to foster the rise of efficiency of the professional activities of the parliaments’ staffs.
During the work the representatives of the National Assembly of Armenia presented their experience on the elaboration and introduction procedure of the strategic plan of the RA National Assembly Staff.
At the end of the Autumn Academy the participants were handed certificates.
Within the framework of the work the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Autonomous Republic of Ajaria Davit Gabaidze hosted the representatives of the staffs of parliaments of Armenia, Georgia and Moldova. He presented the structure and the functions of the legislative body.
The work of the Autumn Academy was organized by the Project Modern and Strong Parliamentary Administrations in the Eastern Partnership Countries of the GIZ Regional Fund.
