RA NA President Artur Baghdasaryan discussed three main problems with the Prime Minister: about the Armenians of Javakhk, the construction Turkey-Georgia new railway and the re-operating of Abkhaz railway. Highlighting the solution of the social-economic problems of the Armenians of Javakhk, the President of the Parliament noted that by the agreement reached during the meeting with Mikhael Saakashvili, President of Georgia, an economic development of the re-operating program of Samtskhe- Javakheti should be worked out and implemented the. Mr. Noghaideli informed the President of the Parliament that a program of the reconstruction of the roads of that region and the construction till 2010, and reconstruction of the regional and village schools have already worked out, the fulfillment of which will promote not only the development of infrastructures, but also the creation of new jobs.

Referring to the new railway possible construction, Artur Baghdasaryan highlighted that the railway Turkey-Georgia-Azerbaijan won’t bypass Armenia because it won’t be favorable from the viewpoint of the regional development, moreover to operate the railway ready for operation is easier and more expedient economically than the construction of the new one. Zurab Noghaideli, Prime Minister of Georgia assured that any program won’t be implemented in Georgia, that is directed against Armenia, because their country was interested in having a peaceful and economically strong neighbour, which makes the region more attractive for the foreign investors, in addition to that, the financial values of all drafts should be calculated and should be chosen the economically profitable one.

In connection with the re-operating of Abkhaz railway it was noted that there are problems not solved yet, the solution of which can promote the trilateral meeting by the participation of the Russian- Georgian-Azerbaijan sides. Artur Baghdasaryan noted that in the one of the upcoming meetings of Caucasus quartet, he is intended to discuss this matter with the Russian and Georgian Parliament Presidents because the re-operating of the railway has a vital significance.
