The delegation led by the RA NA President Alen Simonyan is on a three-day official visit to the Russian Federation. At the suggestion of the Chairman of the RF FA State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, the Armenian parliamentarians met with the representatives of the Faction of the All-Russian Political Party “UNITED RUSSIA”.

“We are now living in a very turbulent time, which has a direct impact on countries and peoples,” the RA NA President noted at the beginning of the meeting, saying that he expects effective and sincere cooperation from our Russian partners on security issues and the achievement of lasting peace in the region.

The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere. The Russian partners pointed out the fact of successful implementation of joint projects, in particular, the interaction of inter-parliamentary friendship groups was highly appreciated.

The situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border was discussed. The RA NA President informed that yesterday the Azerbaijani Armed Forces fired again at the border. The Armenian side presented the situation created in the resort town of Jermuk as a result of the Azerbaijani aggression and the damages caused to the infrastructure to the Russian partners.

“We, as the ruling party, are ready to hold discussions in various formats and consultations on the issues you raised,” the Leader of the faction Vladimir Vasiliev noted.

Issues related to the problems of the Armenians living in Russia were discussed.

Yesterday the delegation led by the NA President met with the representatives of the factions of the RF FA State Duma: Communist Party of the Russian Federation, NEW PEOPLE, A Just Russia — Patriots — For Truth and Liberal-Democratic Party of Russia.
