On December 10, highlighting the development of the capacities of the Staff of Parliament, the RA NA Staff jointly with the Parliamentary Centre (Canada) drafted a Corporate Strategic Planning, the common provisions of which were presented in parliament.
The representatives of the NA Staff and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), International Republican Institute (IRI), the Parliamentary Centre (Canada), the Twinning Project financed by the EU, the German Federal Enterprise for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the National Democratic Institute (NDI) attended the meeting.
Presenting the main directions of the Planning, the RA NA Chief of Staff-Secretary General Vahan Naribekyan has noted that such Planning for the NA Staff is carried out first time. It was designed jointly with the Parliamentary Centre (Canada) aimed at strengthening of the capacities of the RA NA Staff. According to Vahan Naribekyan, the Planning designed for five years will launch in 2022. “The Planning is aimed for providing succeeded corporate administration, effective inner management, as well as will raise the quality of the rendering services to the National Assembly and deputies,” the NA Chief of Staff, Secretary General informed.
The Planning includes about thirty strategic provisions, out of which seven have been singled out for the next year. It is particularly envisaged to strengthen the human resources, expertise and analytical, as well as information and research capacities. Vahan Naribekyan has noted that he highlights the potential of all international counterparts during the implementation of the planning, especially that the NA Staff has results of fruitful work with the international counterparts on the implementation of some sub plans revealed in the Planning.
The attendees emphasized the implementation of such plan in parliament. Issues regarding the possible cooperation on different components of the planning implementation were discussed.
