On December 16, the RA NA Vice President Ishkhan Saghatelyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Armenia Pawel Cieplak.

Ishkhan Saghatelyan presented the post-war situation, spoke about the aggressive encroachments of the Azerbaijani armed forces towards the sovereign territory of Armenia, considered urgent the issue of returning Armenian prisoners of war to the Motherland. The NA Vice President highlighted the voicing of the distinct position of the European countries on the abovementioned issues.

The issue of the Artsakh status was also touched upon.

The sides discussed issues on democracy in Armenia.

Thanking for the reception the Ambassador highlighted the Armenian-Polish friendly relations having centuries-old history. Pawel Cieplak expressed hope that the cooperation would more deepen between the legislative bodies of the two countries.

The NA Vice President expressed readiness for promoting the improvement of the Armenian-Polish relations and the development of the inter-parliamentary relations.
