The Executive proposes to tighten the requirements for the RA flag. The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Armenuhi Harutyunyan explained the main regulations by presenting the proposed amendments and addenda to the draft law on the RA Flag and to the Code on Administrative Offenses.
According to the current regulations, the raised RA flag must be complete, not discolored and clean, the lower part of the flag must be at a height of not less than 2.5 meters from the ground.
In the Code of Administrative Offenses, liability for violating the requirements for the flag is defined, in particular, a fine in the amount of 30.000-50.000 AMD.
In their questions, the deputies touched upon the improper state of the flags placed in the yards, the expediency of applying a warning before administrative liability in case of violation, the obligatory installation of the RA flag by a foreign organization in its territory and other issues.
The deputy Alkhas Ghazaryan informed about the endorsement of the Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs.
The initiative was adopted in the first reading.
