On July 9 the NA President, President of ASUE (Armenian State University of Economics) Council Hovik Abrahamyan attended the event “ASUE Graduate 2013.” Before turning to the festivity part the Head of the Parliament accompanied by the ASUE Chancellor Koryun Atoyan took a tour in the territory, got acquainted with the construction works done and the reforms. Hovik Abrahamyan with special warmth congratulated the graduates in connection with the graduates’ memorable day and the graduating from the Armenian State University of Economics. Hovik Abrahamyan has noted that graduating from the higher educational institution is a significant event in everybody’s life. The higher education is very important, especially in the context of current developments, when the moving force of the development of all spheres of the education and the knowledge. “I am sure that studying in the Armenian State University of Economics has been a great honour for you, as the University is one of the best higher educational institutions preparing economists. I am convinced that here you have received necessary knowledge and you enter into a big life with rich reserve of knowledge. Besides receiving knowledge I hope that you have gained good friends, experience of life and have the features of being a good citizen for our country and state,” Hovik Abrahamyan said. Continuing his speech the NA President has documented that during the recent years the Administration of the University has implemented important projects aimed to increase the education quality, and important steps have been taken to improve the environment of the University and make it more attractive and convenient. The policy of the University is concentrated on students. He assured that the steps taken, which will be continuous, are aimed at the satisfaction of the students’ needs.

“We are always next to you and encourage positive initiatives of the University. Dear graduates,” Hovik Abrahamyan added. Summing up his word, the President of ASUE Council said: “Dear graduates, I am sure that this day will be unforgettable one for you. In future, you will always remember your native University, years of study you'll have a number of cases to evaluate these years. We see you off to a big life with the best wishes, being sure that from here you will go out to build dignified life with abilities and consciousness. I wish you success in all your endeavours, progress in work, achievements also in your personal life. My wish is that you that your professional abilities and skills make serve for the development of our country and its economy. That will be a serious occasion for us, and a good impetus to continue our steps aimed at the rise of the education quality. I wish you all the best and a good journey.”

The ASUE Rector Koryun Atoyan and the member of the ASUE Council, the NA deputy Karen Chshmaritian delivered speeches. To recap, during the 2012-2013 educational year 1255 students got Bachelor's degree and 595 ones Master's degree.
