On November 21 the Chairman of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan met with the students of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Yerevan State University (YSU).

In terms of getting familiarized with the works of the legislative body and the palriamnetary diplomacy Artak Zakaryan highlighted such meetings. The Committee Chairman touched upon the peculiarities of the parliamentary diplomacy and the steps taken in that sphere. According to Artak Zakaryan, the parliamentary diplomacy is an important instrument for presenting the key problems of the country to the external world.

The Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations thoroughly introduced to the future specialists of the Oriental Studies the activity of the NA delegations and the working peculiarities in the international parliamentary organizations.

Artak Zakaryan answered the students’ questions, which were mainly relating to the RA foreign policy, Armenia-EU relations, as well as Armenia’s joining the Customs Union.

It was decided to make similar meetings more frequently.
