On June 17 within the framework of the Armenian Parliamentary Friendship Assembly the NA Speaker Artur Baghdasaryan received Yeghia Jerejyan, the MP of the Lebanon Parliament. During the meeting Mr. Yeghia Jerejyan presented the activities of the Lebanon Parliament and the organization of the legislative activities. The RA NA Speaker Artur Baghdasaryan presented the goals, problems and working procedure of the Armenian Parliamentary Friendship Assembly. Mr. Jerejyan welcomed the initiative of the Parliament Speaker and expressed his readiness to promote the activities of the Assembly.

The RA NA speaker Artur Baghdasaryan received the delegation of the Georgian Parliament, which presented the MPs of Armenian origin, Hamlet Movsisyan, Henzel Mkoyan, Hayk Meltonyan, Melik Raisyan and Vakhtang Kolbaya. It was noted that in the nearest future in the new Parliament of Georgia a Parliamentary Friendship group will be set up, issues related to the life of the Armenian community in Georgia were also discussed.

The NA Speaker also discussed issues related to the organization and goals of the Assembly with Nver Mkhitaryan, the deputy of the Supreme Rada of Ukraine, and the Chairman of the parliamentary friendship group with the RA NA and with Rudolf Hakobyan, the MP of the Supreme Rada of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. They also discussed issues of development of the Armenian-Ukrainian trade economic, scientific educational and cultural ties.
