On April 6 the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs presided over by Davit Harutyunyan, in the first reading procedure debated the legislative package on Making Amendments and Addenda in RA Criminal Code, On Amending the RA Code on Administrative Infringements, On Amending in RA Criminal Executive Code, and On Amending the RA Criminal Executive Code and On Amending the RA Criminal Procedure Code.
The Committee Chairman Davit Harutyunyan proposed to organize public debates with the specialists of this sphere.
As a result of debates, the Committee decided to guarantee with endorsement the legislative package for including it in the draft agendas of the NA session and upcoming four-day sittings.
It was also decided to organize parliamentary hearings in relation to the issue.
RA Justice Minister Hrayr Tovmasyan in the second reading submitted the legislative package envisaging amendments to the law On Freedom of Assemblies and in a number of laws.
The Committee also debated in the second reading procedure the draft law On Making Addenda and Amendments to RA Law NA Rules of Procedure.
The debated two issues were included with the committee’s endorsement in the draft agenda of the NA upcoming four-day sittings.
Debates of a number of draft laws were postponed by the committee’s decision up to 15, 30 and 60 days.
