On November 10 the NA Vice President Eduard Sharmazanov received the Vice Presidents of the People’s Assembly of Kazakhstan Yerali Togzhanov and Artush Karapetyan.

Eduard Sharmazanov noted with satisfaction that the Armenian-Kazakh political and economic relations had firm bases and were inclined to record new developments in different spheres of cooperation. He thanked them for the activities of the Armenian community, creating favourable conditions for self-manifestation and development and for the attention shown by the Kazakh authorities.

Thanking for warm reception the Vice President of the People’s Assembly of Kazakhstan, Head of the Assembly Secretariat Yerali Togzhanov highlighted the development of bilateral relations, as well as the cooperation in international organizations. He said that the problem of ethnic and public agreement were on firm bases in multi-national Kazakhstan, which had become the pledge of public and economic stability of Kazakhstan. He touched upon the direction of the Assembly’s work and the ways of cooperation with the Kazakh Parliament, especially highlighting the mission of representing the problems concerning the national minorities in the parliament through 9 MPs.

According to the Vice President of the People’s Assembly of Kazakhstan, the Chairman of the Association of Nairi Armenian Cultural Centres Artush Karapetyan, all conditions are created for the activities of the Armenian community and maintenance of the national identity, which gives big opportunity for consolidation and self-manifestation of the Armenian community.

Highly appreciating the current level of the Armenian-Kazakh relations, the NA Vice President Eduard Sharmazanov said that the two countries had big opportunities of activating the mutual cooperation in different spheres, which should be realized with joint efforts.
