On November 22 in the CSTO Parliamentary Centre in Saint Petersburg the meetings of three permanent commissions of the CSTO PA were held. The RA NA deputy Khosrov Harutyunyan took part in the meeting of the Commission on Political Issues and International Cooperation, and was elected Deputy Chairman of the mentioned committee. Among a number of issues the Committee in particular, touched upon the results of the 2012 May session of the CSTO Security Council, the procedure of the ratification of the international treaties signed within the CSTO framework, the CSTO consultancy draft law of counter-influence of bribing the foreign officials in signing the international trade treaties, rapprochement of the national legislations of the CSTO PA member states for 2011-2015 and the procedure of the implementation of the CSTO PA activity programme of leveling.

The RA NA deputies Rubik Hakobyan and Koryun Nahapetyan took part in the meeting of the Permanent Commission on Defense and Security Issues. The latter presented the report “On Results of the Conference of Coordinating the Chairmen of the Committees on Defense and Security of the parliaments of the CSTO Member States held in Yerevan on September 18-19 2012”. He also proposed a new procedure of debate in the committees, i.e. to appoint a reporter beforehand on the most important themes, and all the members of the committee will initially get acquainted with the content of the speech.

Lively discussions were held on the experience of preparing military resources, employees of the law enforcement bodies and special services for the CSTO member states, which presented the RF FA FC Committee Chairman V. Ozerov.

At the meeting of the Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights the RA NA deputy Artak Davtyan delivered a speech.

The Regional Adviser on Legal Issues of the Eastern Europe of the International Red Cross and Central Asia Maria Teresa Dudley presented the works going on in holding international humanitarian legislative standards and comparative analysis of integration of the legislative field.

On November 22 the meetings of the IPA CIS three permanent commissions were held.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan took part in the meeting of the Committee on Political Issues and International Cooperation and was elected Deputy Chairperson of the IPA CIS mentioned Committee. The reports on the outcomes of the IPA CIS Observation missions in the parliamentary elections held in Belarus and Ukraine were heard. The issue on the actions of the parliamentary delegations of the IPA CIS, which was agreed in the international parliamentary organizations, was discussed.

On the same day the meeting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Science and Education was held, where the RA NA deputies Ruzanna Muradyan and Hayk Babukhanyan took part. The latter was elected Deputy Chairman of the mentioned Commission. Our deputies had a concerned participation in the debate of the draft law “Amending the General Part of the Exemplary Education Code for the CIS Member States.” Other issues of interest for the Armenian MPs were also examined.

The RA NA deputies Murad Muradyan and Vahan Babayan took part in the meeting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology. The debated issues were relating to the ecological agricultural production, the elaboration of the exemplary law of protection of population and environment from different kinds of sound effects, the elaboration of the agreement on the united information system of the CIS member countries from the protection of biodangers and joint programmes concerning other spheres.
