On November 12 President of the National Assembly Mr. Hovik Abrahamyan received Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Bulgaria to Armenia Mr. Todor Staykov.
During the meeting the Ambassador of Bulgaria conveyed the letter of the President of the National Assembly of his country Mrs. Tsetska Tsacheva, by which he invited his Armenia’s counterpart to make an official visit to Sofia. “I take this opportunity to express my satisfaction on the occasion of the established friendly and partnership relations between Bulgaria and Armenia and ensure my willingness for developing the inter-parliamentary cooperation in future too,” Ambassador Staykov quoted from the letter of the President of the Bulgarian Parliament.
Mr. Abrahamyan received with gratitude that invitation. The interlocutors agreed that the terms of the upcoming visit to Bulgaria of RA NA President would be specified through diplomatic channels.
Then RA NA President and Ambassador of Bulgaria discussed the wide scope of issues concerning the development of bilateral relations. They highlighted in particular the work of the inter-governmental commission, as well as, paid special attention to the deepening of trade-economic relations. In that context the sides agreed to organize Armenian-Bulgarian business-forum in the nearest future.
During the meeting the interlocutors also touched upon the issues of the influence of the world financial-economic crisis and normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations without preconditions.
