On November 3, the joint sitting of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs and on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs took place. The RA draft law on the RA State budget for 2022 was debated.
The Head of the Judicial Department of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) Khachik Ghazaryan has informed that the SJC and the RA Courts implement the programme Provision and Implementation of the Judicial Power Activity. 14bln 341mln 250.000 AMD is designed to allocate to the structure for the coming year, meanwhile the SJC presented 14bln 237mln 497.000 AMD request. According to the rapporteur, it seems to be the sum to be allocated has been increased by about 103mln AMD, but it is not like that, as it has been decreased by about 628mln AMD. Two events for the implementation of which about 718mln AMD is necessary have increased. THE SJC has not introduced the request of this sum yet. “Probably, recently we’ll introduce the request,” Khachik Ghazaryan has noted, adding that it is connected with the creation of the new court by the amendment of the law.
Presenting the works of the judicial sphere, Khachik Ghazaryan has informed that in 2021, according to the Judicial Code, the number of the judges increased by 30, in 2022 their number will increase by 29, too.
