Competition of Nominating Candidates for the Member Being Elected on behalf of the Republic of Armenia in the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CPT)

The Republic of Armenia, as a participant state of the European Convention for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment is authorized to nominate a Member of the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.

The delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe /PACE/ announces competition for nominating to PACE candidacies for the member of the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment on behalf of Armenia.

According to the procedure, the delegation of Armenia to PACE should present three candidates to the Assembly, and one member will be elected out of them.

The candidates should have an excellent command at least one official language of the Council of Europe (English, French) with at least passive knowledge of the other official language. It is desirable to submit a certificate confirming the knowledge of the language. The list of the documents on the demands, the election procedure, the activity of the Committee is presented for the candidates. It is possible to receive additional information visiting the website http://www.cpt.coe.int .

Those who want to take part in the completion should submit a CV, sending it to the e-mail karine.shimsiryan@parliament.am . The CV template is presented enclosed. It is desirable that it will be filled in in English or in French. The deadline for submitting the documents is December 12, 2022.

The candidates who have overcome the preliminary (documentation) phase of the completion will be invited for interview.
