NA Standing Committees Endorse the RA Draft Laws

At December 3 sitting the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs moderated by Vardan Ayvazyan debated a number of bills concerning the tax sphere.

The RA Deputy Finance Minister Suren Karayan presented the package of bills proposing amendments to the law “On Circulation Tax” and a number of laws linked with it.

The NA Deputy Armen Babayan presented the package of bills connected with the RA Customs Code and the taxes.

The Committee endorsed the draft laws concerning the tax sphere to be included in the session and in the agendas of the four-day sittings.

The Committee also endorsed the package of bills “On Amending the RA Law on Gambling Games and Casinos” and proposing amendments to a number of laws.

The NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs debated the draft law “On Creating NA Ad-Hoc Inquiry Committee of the Substantiation and Legality of the Events and Actions by the RA Police, Special Investigative Service, RA Prosecutor’s Office on Cases of the Murders of the Ten Persons in the City of Yerevan, on of Causing Arms and Other Bodily Injuries to the Civilians, Police Employees and Military Servants in the City of Yerevan on March 1-2, 2008” submitted by Stepan Demirchyan, Levon Zurabyan, Gagik Jhangiryan, Nikol Pashinyan, Lyudmila Sargsyan and Aram Manukyan.

There were a number of interpellations and proposals on the draft law. The Committee Chairman Davit Harutyunyan proposed the co-author Gagik Jhangiryan to postpone the debate of the issue by one year. The key speaker accepted the proposals and informed them they envisaged to touch upon their issue after the upcoming presidential election.

At the sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Financial Credit and Budgetary Affairs moderated by Gagik Minasyan the deputies debated the financial agreement “Tax Administration Upgrading Programme” between the Republic of Armenia and International Development Association signed on July 9, 2012.

The Committee endorsed the debated agreement to include it in the agenda of the NA December 3-6 four-day sittings.
