On March 16, the Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Artak Zakaryan met with Julia Bläsius, Regional Director of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) South Caucasus Office. Naira Gevorgyan, the Country Director Armenia Office of the FES also attended the meeting.

The interlocutors highlighted the cooperation between the Committee and the Fund before.

Julia Bläsius, Regional Director of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) South Caucasus Office, presented a number of programmes aimed at the bilateral cooperation, which the Committee Chairman considered admissible.

Artak Zakaryan informed that the Committee will organize parliamentary hearings in future: in this context the possibilities of the FES event had been discussed.

In the course of the meeting the negotiations, which had begun with the European Union, as well as, the Constitutional reforms and the legislative amendments being envisaged after that were highlighted. In this context Mrs Bläsius proposed the support of the Fund in those processes.

The sides discussed other issues regarding the further cooperation between the FES and the Committee.
