At June 26 extraordinary session, on the initiative of the Government the draft law on Making Amendments and Addendum to the RA Criminal Procedure Code authored by the deputies of the NA Civil Contract Faction Lilit Minasyan and Arusyak Julhakyan was debated in the first reading.
According to the key rapporteur, it is proposed to use server infrastructures for preserving the data subject to reservation in electronic way , giving an opportunity to preserve them on the mobileelectronic USBs.
It was also noted that, according to transitive provisions of the Code, from September 1, 2023 the provisions on reservation in electronic way of the proceedings actions established by Article 8, will enter into force.
There are regulations in Article 8, as well as in a number of other articles of the Code, according to which, the recording USBs of the proceedings actions are attached to the relevant protocol
As Lilit Minasyan assured, it was found out by the implemented study for providing the the practical use of the legal regulations that within the framework of the compulsory recording of the investigative actions for providing the requirements established by law the use of the server infrastructures is more purposeful for collecting, revising and preserving the information.
She noted that conditioned by the degree of sensibility of infrastructures, it is more purposeful to observe the model of preserving them in the server infrastructures , as a result of which, it will be possible to provide the reservation of the criminal proceedings on paper, as well as electronic USBs.
T he co-rapporteur , the member of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Alkhas Ghazaryan presented the endorsement of the Head Committee.
The RA Deputy Minister of Justice Ara Mkrtchyan not ed that the Government has no objection on the draft and called on his colleagues to vote for it.
The parliament passed the draft law in the first reading.
