On December 8, the RA National Assembly continued the work of the last four-day sittings of this session. The parliament by voting passed the bills debated at the previous sitting and among them the draft law on the RA State Budget for 2017. It was passed by 83 for, 24 against and 1 abstained co-relation. The NA National Congress and Rule of Law factions and the deputies affiliated with the NA Prosperous Armenia faction voted against it.
By the proposal of the NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan the lecturers and the students of the Faculty of Geography and Geology of Yerevan State University, who visited the parliament within the framework of the NA Open Doors programme.
Afterwards the deputies continued debating in the first reading the legislative package on Amending the RA law on Local Self-Government, on Amending the RA law on Local Referendum, on Amending the RA law on the RA Budgetary System. The NA deputies Heghine Bisharyan, Araik Hovhannisyan, Mher Shahgeldyan and Hovhannes Margaryan expressed their viewpoints on the package.
In his final speech the RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Development Vache Terteryan touched upon the deputies’ remarks and expressed readiness to cooperate.
The parliament in the first reading debated the draft law on Amending the RA law on Service in Police, which submitted the RA Deputy Head of Police Vardan Yeghiazaryan.
The parliament in the first reading debated the RA bill on Purchases authored by the government. The key speaker, the RA Minister of Finance Vardan Aramyan presented the bill.
The Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Vardan Ayvazyan presented the endorsement of the Committee.
Afterwards the parliament debated four agreements, two protocols and a Convention signed in Ashgabat, Yerevan, New Delhi with Belarus, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of India, the Kingdom of Sweden, submitted by the RA Deputy Minister of Finance Armen Hayrapetyan and the RA Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan.
The RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations endorsed the international agreements.
The RA NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan announced the tenth session of the NA fifth convocation closed. Under the sounds of the RA anthem the parliament ended the work of the sitting.
