On March 2, at the beginning of the work of the sittings of the National Assembly the Speaker of Parliament Ararat Mirzoyan informed that the debate of the item of the election of the candidate for the judge of the Court of Cassation included in the agenda is postponed.
“A few minutes ago they have passed me the document of the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council that one of the three candidates, Samvel Grigoryan has announced his self-withdrawal, which makes impossible the debate of the item, because the National Assembly shall elect out of three candidates,” Mirzoyan said.

At the third sitting of the day the legislative body debated the item of the election of the candidate for the judge of the Court of Cassation. As Ararat Mirzoyan noted, the item was not debated at the morning sitting due to technical problems.
Ararat Mirzoyan informed that pursuant to Article 166.3 of the Constitution and Article 143.2 of the constitutional law the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, the Supreme Judicial Council proposed for the vacant seat of the judge of the Civil and Administrative Chamber of the Court of Cassation the candidacies of Samvel Grigoryan, Armen Haykyants and Arsen Mkrtchyan. Samvel Grigoryan announced his self-withdrawal.
The Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Ruben Vardazaryan presented the substantiation of the Chairman of the First Instance Court of Syunik Marz that in the post-war period the hard situation of the First Instance Court of Syunik Marz and the necessity of the systemization of the further regular work of the court.
According to the law the NA Rules of Procedure, at the last sitting of the day the deputies will make announcements.
