Deputy of Ruling Faction Aren Mkrtchyan Refers to Construction of Copper Smelter

Aren Mkrtchyan from the Civil Contract Faction asked the Government a question about the construction of a new copper smelter in Armenia. The deputy has stated that the project is of strategic importance and has been interested in ongoing work and investments.

The RA Minister of Defense answered to the question. Suren Papikyan has emphasized that a long-term process is required, and he has added, that the RA should initiate the involvement of energy resources. He pointed out the creation of a new nuclear power plant or a new power unit.
