RA National Assembly President Hovik Abrahamyan Receives the Chairman of the South-Korean GS Engineering and Construction Company and General Director Woo Sang-Ryong

The President of RA National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan on April 22 received the Chairman of the South-Korean GS Construction Company and General Director Woo Sang-Ryong.

In December 2009 the President of RA National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan paid an official visit to South Korea. The President of RA National Assembly was the first high-ranking official from Armenia, who visited that country. During the visit the meeting between Hovik Abrahamyan and the Chairman of GS Group Huh Chang Su was held, as a result of which the Korean side expressed willingness to support the development program of the Armenian Parliament. And in February 2010, as a result of those arrangements, an agreement between the Staff of the National Assembly and GS Engineering and Construction Company was signed.

Woo Sang-Ryong expressed his gratitude for the reception and conveyed the warm greetings of the Chairman of the GS Group Company and reaffirmed his wish to visit Armenia.

Hovik Abrahamyan highlighted the expansion of economic cooperation between Armenia and South Korea, from that point of view considering significant the effective activities of one of the South Korean biggest private companies in Armenia. The GS Engineering and Construction Company, which is the branch of the GS Group Company, with the Japanese Company carried out the construction works of the energy block with combined steaming-gas cycle of Yerevan Thermo-Electric Plant. The President of RA National Assembly expressed hope that the cooperation with Armenia would continue.

Woo Sang-Ryong thanked for the support and expressed conviction that their activities in Armenia would expand.
