Parliament Ends the Work of the Next Four-Day Sittings

On April 8 the parliament continued the work of the four-day sittings and passed the bill On Making Addendum to the law on RA 2010 State Budget, which was presented by the government.

Later the parliament continued the debate of the package On Obligatory Hologram of the DVD and CD Magnetic Carriers Through Control Signs (Stamp Labels) and making addenda to the RA Criminal Code, which was presented by the deputy of the ARF faction Karen Vardanyan. Expressing their viewpoint in connection with the issue the NA deputies Styopa Safaryan, Ruzanna Arakelyan, Lilit Galstyan, Armen Martirosyan, Viktor Dallakyan and Larisa Alaverdyan emphasized the adoption of the package of the bills and urged the other deputies to vote for the legislative package, and proposed the author to rectify the shortcomings from the first reading into the second reading.

The representatives of NA factions were for the adoption of the legislative package.

The NA deputy Hovhannes Margaryan said that the Country of Law was for the adoption of the package of the bills. Mr. Margaryan highlighted and welcomed the endorsements of the NA Head Committee and the government on the legislative package.

In the name of the ARF faction Artsvik Minasyan was for the ideology of the legislative initiative and emphasized from the legal viewpoint the protection of the copyright, which was invested for the first time.

Hermine Naghdalyan noted in the name of the RPA that she highlighted the solution of the problem by law and proposed to work comprehensively, work out the package of the bills and called on her counterparts to vote for the legislative package.

The Deputy Chairman of the State Revenues Committee Armen Alaverdyan in his final speech proposed the author to jointly work with the government, debate all the proposals for substantially editing the legislative package.

The Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Vardan Ayvazyan in his final speech touched upon the deputies’ concerns and proposals.

The keynote speaker in his final speech thanked the deputies for the proposals and noted that in this connection he talked with NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan and proposed him to organize the voting of the legislative package during the next four-day sittings.

The NA deputies passed by voting all the bills and legislative packages, except the legislative package On Making Amendments to RA Law On Gambling Games and Casinos, and its voting was postponed at the author’s proposal.

The MPs debated the draft law on Making Amendments to RA Law on State Support of the Small and Medium Entrepreneurship, which was submitted by the Government.

The debate of the issue will continue in the next four-day sittings.

The National Assembly ended the work of the four-day sittings.
