On the occasion of the 66^th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, Day of the Defense Army of the Artsakh Republic and Liberation of Shushi, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, Mayor of Yerevan Karen Karapetyan, a number of veterans of the Great Patriotic War and freedom fighters of Artsakh war visited Yerevan Victory Park on May 9.

Speaker of the National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan and high-ranking officials laid a wreath at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Later those present paid a tribute with one-minute silence to the memory of the soldiers deceased for the freedom and independence of the Motherland and attended the military parade.

A military tent and field kitchen were installed in the Victory Park, around which the veterans of the Great Patriotic War grouped. Approaching them Hovik Abrahamyan congratulated them on the Victory and Peace Day, sat with them around the table and had an intimate talk.
