On May 26 in the RA National Assembly students of a number of senior schools of the Armavir Marz communities took part in the sitting of the National Assembly, after which the NA Vice Speaker Samvel Nikoyan held the regular ‘open lesson.’
During the meeting the NA Vice Speaker Samvel Nikoyan presented the NA structure, staff, committees and spheres of their activity to the students.
Mr Nikoyan touched upon the bills under debate in the current four-day sittings, distinguishing among them and especially highlighting the draft law on holding amnesty presented by the RA President on the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of the RA Independence, the bill envisaging reforms in the RA Electoral Code and the report on the execution of the RA 2010 State Budget.
The meeting was continued within the framework of question and answer session.
The numerous and various questions concerning the youth related to the parliament-government relations and cooperation, the NK conflict settlement and the probability of recommencing war, unemployment, high tuition fees, high interest rates of the agricultural loans, issues of repairing the damaged schools, conscription, the perspectives and obstacles of the development of the economy of the republic.
Mr Nikoyan gave detailed answers to all the questions.
