It is Planned to Establish Uniform Conditions and Requirements for Providing Audit Services in EAEU Member States
The Agreement on Audit Activities within the Framework of the Eurasian Economic Union signed in Moscow on April 19, 2022 consists of 35 articles and derives from the provisions of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union dated May 29, 2014, as well as from the liberalization plan for the formation of a single market in the field of audit services, approved by the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council on December 26, 2016. The RA Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan presented the draft law on Ratifying the Agreement on Audit Activities within the Framework of the Eurasian Economic Union at the NA regular sitting on November 15.
The agreement envisages establishing uniform conditions and requirements for providing audit services in the EAEU member states, within the framework of which a register of audit organizations, individual auditors and auditors with the right to provide audit services will be introduced in the EAEU member states. According to Arman Poghsoyan, provisions were also defined regarding the external control of the audit quality. The agreement contributes to the formation of a free market for the provision of audit services within the framework of the EAEU cooperation, and therefore to making the EAEU market available to organizations providing audit services in the Republic of Armenia.
Presenting the endorsement of the Head Committee, the member of the Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration Shirak Torosyan proposed to vote in favor at an opportune moment.
