The guests had been at the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, got familiarized with the documents ensuring the Armenian Genocide and left a note in the Memory Book of Honourable Guests.
Noting that Belgium was one of the first countries that recognized and condemned the Armenian Genocide, Christine Defraigne added: “We continue our works in the Senate and highlight the adoption of the law on criminalizing the denial of the Armenian Genocide, which is necessary for both the victims and the heirs of those perpetrating the Genocide. We wish that one day the Armenian and the Turkish communities will gather together.”
